Principle Charlie Jeannet offers a unique skill set and understanding of code enforcement and construction techniques. An Alaskan resident for over 30 years, Charlie is experienced in both new and existing construction and inspection techniques throughout interior Alaska. His former position with the City of Fairbanks Building Department as a structural inspector for 20 years included extensive experience in both residential and commercial projects, as well as plan reviews and involvement in the code adoption and amendment process extending back several decades.

With over three decades of full time building inspection and engineering experience in both the public and private sector, Principle Charlie Jeannet offers a unique skill set and understanding of code enforcement and construction techniques.
An Alaskan resident for over 30 years, Charlie is experienced in both new and existing construction and inspection techniques throughout interior Alaska. Charlie lives with his wife, family and dogs in his home/office in rural Fairbanks and enjoys fishing, bow hunting, snow-machining and boating in his leisure.
Michael Helkenn, EIT
Born and raised in Alaska’s Copper River Valley, Michael is our Engineer in Training. Michael has been working at North Star Engineering for three years and recently graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Magna Cum Laude. With a keen attention to detail and a jack-of-all-trades mentality that can only be obtained by a life in rural Alaska, Michael is quickly becoming a proficient draftsman and engineer.
Michael and his wife Bekah live in the hills outside of Fairbanks with their pet dog Apache. All three of them are avid adventurers and enjoy all the things Alaska has to offer such as hiking, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, rock climbing and exploring.
